HIPAA Vault has announced that it has partnered with Compliancy Group to offer HIPAA Seal of Compliance Verification to healthcare organizations and their business associates that are required to comply with Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) Rules.
There is no officially recognized certification for HIPAA compliance, either through the government or third-party companies. There are comprehensive, high-profile security certification standards such as the HITRUST CSF, but these can be prohibitively expensive for small-to medium-sized organizations and are better suited to enterprises.
This gap for small-to medium-sized organizations has been addressed by Compliancy Group and HIPAA Vault, which created a method of verifying that an organization has implemented policies and procedures in line with HIPAA along with appropriate safeguards to ensure the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of ePHI.
Compliancy Group developed a web-based compliance tracking solution – The Guard – that has helped thousands of healthcare organizations and business associates achieve HIPAA compliance. The Guard has been combined with an extensive set of advanced security protocols developed by HIPAA Vault and Compliancy Group that can be used to protect sensitive data and comply with the requirements of HIPAA.
Through HIPAA Seal of Compliance Verification, healthcare organizations and their business associates have an independent verification of HIPAA compliance and data security that they can depend on. Through verification they can demonstrate to their patients, customers, and partners that they are committing to protecting sensitive data and have implemented an effective HIPAA compliance program, which helps them to differentiate their services.
“We provide cost-effective, HIPAA compliant cloud solutions, and our customers depend on us to keep their costs down,” said Gil Vidals, CEO of HIPAA Vault. “By partnering with Compliancy Group to develop the HIPAA Seal of Compliance Verification, it shows our customers that they don’t need to increase their prices in order to pay for high-cost certifications that don’t provide them with any stronger protection.”
