Internet Security as a Service Platform Launched by Cyren

Cybersecurity firm Cyren has announced the launch of a new Cyren Cloud Security platform, which combines Internet, email, and DNS security with cloud sandboxing in a single cloud-based platform, with all services accessible through a single pane of glass.

Email and web security solutions had previously been developed by Cyren, although both were offered as separate solutions. The combination of these cloud security services into the same platform makes it easier for businesses to implement, configure, and manage the solutions.

Cyren Cloud Security 4.0 offers users a single dashboard through which summaries of the web and email threats that have been detected and blocked can be viewed. The dashboard allows administrators to see threat summaries at a glance and drill down for more detailed information.

Cyren Cloud Security uses a common policy framework for email and web security services with integrated reporting, license management, and customer onboarding. At the heart of the platform is the Cyren GlobalView Threat Intelligence Cloud, which offers industry leading detection, processing, and correlation of threat data. Threat data is collected from more than 17 billion, email, web, and DNS transactions each day.

Cyren Web security is a SaaS secure web gateway that providers users with inline protection from a wide range of web-based threats including ransomware, malware, and phishing, regardless of the device used to access the Internet. The platform allows administrators to enforce acceptable usage policies and carefully control the content that can be accessed via their internal networks while blocking access to known and unknown malicious URLs.

The latest release of the Web Security SaaS includes scanning capability for shadow IT, showing the sanctioned and unsanctioned apps that are being used by employees. The feature allows users to apply policy-based controls and block risky apps to improve security posture.

Cyren email security offers protection from spam and malicious emails such as those used to phish for login credentials. The 100% cloud-based service now includes full integration of Cyren’s cloud based sandboxing technology and enhanced zero-day threat intelligence.

While the platform now combines email and web services and is available as a suite of cybersecurity solutions, customers are still able to purchase licenses for each product separately.
