Rackspace has been named VMware 2020 Global Partner of the Year in the Social Impact award category for the Americas for the positive impact the company has made using VMware technologies.

Each year, VMWare partners from around the world are recognized for extraordinary performance and notable achievements over the past 12 months. The awards program is run in partnership with IDC, which assists in the assessment of nominees and rates them against the criteria in each award category.

The criteria for assessment include the positive impact a company has made using VMware technologies, delivering growth for customers’ businesses and improving return on investment, the level of innovation, and demonstrating expertise in a particular area.

Awards are given in six categories: Partner Social Impact, Partner Value, Services Excellence, Digital Transformation, Cloud Platform Transformation, and Partner Trailblazer, along with an additional Global Partner for Technology Innovation Award.

“These awards are demonstrative of our partners capability and dedication to VMware, and it’s great to see partners innovating and growing their business with us. The opportunity for our partners is exceptional with the breadth of our solutions portfolio, and it’s truly inspirational to witness customers rely on our partners as trusted advisors,” said Jenni Flinders, Vice President and Worldwide Channel Chief, VMware.

Rackspace has been working with VMware for more than a decade to help its customers get the best return from virtualization and the private cloud and its efforts were rewarded this year. “VMware is proud to see Rackspace honored in the Partner Social Impact category, and we are thrilled to see their continued commitment to delivering exceptional customer outcomes,” said Bill Swales, vice president and channel chief, Americas Partner Organization, VMware.

“We’re thrilled to once again be recognized as a VMware Global Partner of the Year. We look forward to our continued partnership to help our customers decrease costs, remain competitive, and grow and scale their businesses,” said Matt Stoyka, Chief Solutions Officer at Rackspace.
