Canary Global Inc. has been confirmed as having implemented an effective HIPAA compliance program by Compliancy Group.

The medical devices and software developed by Canary Global Inc. come into contact with electronic protected health information, so the company is classed as a business associate under HIPAA. That means Canary Global Inc. must comply with data security requirements of the HIPAA Security Rule and implement privacy policies that comply with the HIPAA Privacy Rule.
To ensure the company and its products and services were fully compliant with the requirements of the HIPAA Privacy Rule, HIPAA Security Rule, HIPAA Breach Notification Rule, HIPAA Omnibus Rule, and the HITECH Act, Canary Global Inc. worked with Compliancy Group and adopted its proprietary HIPAA compliance methodology.
Canary Global Inc. followed the methodology and tracked its progress using Compliancy Group’s compliance tracking software solution, The Guard. After completing Compliancy Group’s 6-Stage HIPAA Risk Analysis and remediation process, Canary Global’s good faith effort toward HIPAA compliance was verified by Compliancy’ Group’s HIPAA subject matter experts and the company was awarded the HIPAA Seal of Compliance.
The HIPAA Seal of Compliance demonstrates that a company has implemented an effective HIPAA compliance program and is committed to ensuring the privacy and security of protected health information.
