MyWoundDoctor serves physicians, health plans, and patients with integrated and cost-reducing telehealth wound care applications and services, with the mobile application used for wound care management and for providing medical advice to caregivers and/or patients. MyWoundDoctor collects wound measurements and other patient demographic and clinical data, so is classed as a business associate under HIPAA and must ensure electronic protected health information is secured at all times and patient privacy is protected.
“MyWoundDoctor exists to provide world-class wound care to patients and providers who need an innovative, cost-effective avenue for wound care. Our main priority is to help patients heal and to do so in a safe and secure way. Protecting patient PHI by being HIPAA compliant is on the forefront of our mind in every decision we make.
