Easy Way Delivery Services Confirmed as HIPAA Compliant by Compliancy Group

Compliancy Group has announced Easy Way Delivery Services has demonstrated compliance with the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) Rules and has been awarded the HIPAA Seal of Compliance.

Markham, Illinois-based Easy Way Delivery Services provides on-demand and scheduled medical courier delivery service throughout the Chicagoland area, Illinois, and the Midwest.

The collection and delivery of packages and medical supplies for healthcare customers means Easy Way Delivery Services can come into contact with protected health information, and must therefore implement administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to ensure  the security, privacy, and integrity of healthcare data.

Easy Way Delivery Services sought assistance from Compliancy Group and used its compliance tracking software solution, The Guard, and proprietary 6-Stage HIPAA Risk Analysis and remediation process to ensure compliance with the necessary regulatory standards outlined in the HIPAA Privacy Rule, HIPAA Security Rule, HIPAA Breach Notification Rule, HIPAA Omnibus Rule, and the HITECH Act.

After completing that process, Compliancy Group’s HIPAA subject matter experts and Compliance Coaches recognized Easy Way Delivery Services good faith effort toward HIPAA compliance and awarded the company the HIPAA Seal of Compliance.

The HIPAA Seal of Compliance demonstrates to current and future customers that Easy Way Delivery Services has implemented an effective HIPAA compliance program, is committed to ensuring the privacy and security of protected health information, and handles sensitive data securely in a manner compliant with the HIPAA Rules.

“The HIPAA Seal of Compliance has afforded us additional opportunities to provide excellent delivery services,” said Earnest Sutton, President, Easy Way Delivery Services.
