HEOPS Inc. and its subsidiary CENTIPEDE Care Solutions LLC have completed Compliancy Groups 6-stage HIPAA risk analysis and remediation process and have demonstrated they have implemented an effective HIPAA compliance program.

HEOPS Inc. is a strategic partner to the nation’s leading health plans, providing strategy and back office support to help health plans scale. Its subsidiary, Franklin, TN-based CENTIPEDE Care Solutions, helps members and their caregivers access the care they need from quality home care providers at an affordable price, and help remove the complexity of healthcare.

Compliance with all aspects of the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act’s (HIPAA) Rules is essential for all healthcare providers, Health plans and business associates to ensure the privacy, security, and integrity of healthcare data. To ensure no aspect of the often-complex HIPAA Rules was missed, HEOPS and CENTIPEDE Care Solutions sought assistance from Compliancy Group.

“HEOPS is trusted by the nation’s largest health plans, over 2000 home care agencies and our members. We take HIPAA requirements very seriously,” said Nancy Everitt, CEO HEOPS Inc, “Certification via the Compliancy Group is another way that our team is demonstrating commitment to quality, excellence and safeguarding member protected health information (PHI) and provider data (PII). ”

Compliancy Group has developed a propriety HIPAA compliance methodology and compliance tracking software solution called The Guard. Using that method and tracking progress using The Guard, while being assisted on their journey toward compliance by Compliancy Group’s compliance coaches, HEOPS and CENTIPEDE Care Solutions demonstrated compliance with all aspects of the HIPAA Rules and their good faith effort toward compliance was recognized with the HIPAA Seal of Compliance.

The HIPAA Seal of Compliance demonstrates to patients, members, and partners that an organization is committed to compliance and has taken the necessary steps to ensure that risks to PHI have been effectively mitigated.

“HEOPS and CENTIPEDE Care Solutions are focused on creating a secure environment to support the goals of all of our customers,” said Everitt. “Peter Kapolas, BSN, CPHQ, SVP Quality and Program Operations and our whole team are committed to creating a model program so that all stakeholders can rest easy that compliance is a key focus.”
